It pictures the believer's covenant union with the Lord: death to sin, burial of the old nature, and rising to new life) in the name of the lord JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, in order to be saved, Baptism itself does not save, but is an act of obedience to the gospel that should not be postponed following faith, repentance, and regeneration. It is designed not for infants, but for those who know God's saving plan and who decide to trust and obey the Lord. 6. Repentance: Acts 2: 37-38; Matt 3:2; 4:17; 26:28; Rom 3:24-25; I John 1:7;Mark 16:15-16; 7. Conversion: Acts 3: 19, I Peter 2:21, 22. 8. Baptism: Matthew 3:13-17; 28:18-20. Indwelt by the Holy Spirit, Christians are to be an example of the believers and a correction to an evil and unbelieving generation. The works of the flesh Pride, greed, sloth, lust, and covetousness must not be named among the children of GOD; all harmful and immoral and worldly practices, including all sexual sins, must be refused in the body. The laying on of hands The laying of hands is to be practiced in the following situations or ordinances
14.THE HOLY SPIRIT The Holy Spirit is the essence and power of God almighty (JAHOVAH), and is present everywhere. It is the promised Comforter sent from God after the ascension of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit dwells in those Children of God who ask of and obey Him. All believers have been baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ. The Scriptures command believers to be filled with the Holy Spirit. By the Spirit, God guides all his children into all truth, convicts persons of sin and draws them to Jesus, regenerates those who believe, gives power to live and witness for Christ, produces the fruits of holiness, and bestows spiritual gifts for service to the company of believers and others. Acts 2; Gal. 5:22-26, John 14:16-18, 26; 15:26; 16:7-14; 3:5; Acts 1:5, 8; Ephesians 5:18; 1 Corinthians 12:3-11, 13; Luke 11:13; Acts 5:32. Manifestations of gifts regulated according to I Cor. Ch 12 & Ch 14. 15.SATAN THE ADVERSARY Satan as the devil is the adversary of (Jahovah) God and the children of God. He it is that continually fights against the children of God and will continue to use whatever means to temp you to sin against God’s holy commandments. Every child of God is to resist the devil and his devices James: 4:7; I Peter 5:8; I John 3:8; Jude 9; Matt. 4:1-11. 16.THE FALL OF MAN Man was created perfect, but through disobedience fell, bringing sin and its imperfection, death, and God's wrath upon mankind. By this act all mankind participated in sin been descendant of the first human beings Adam and Eve even though the price for sin has been paid by Christ (Grace) sin remain in the world and can only be overcome by the power of the holy Spirit dwelling in the believer who is obedient to the commandment of God. Gen.1:27&31; ch 3:1-24, I Cor. 15:21, 22, Rom 5:12-19, ICor15:22, . 17. The Lord's Supper The Lord’s Supper was instituted by Jesus (YESHUA) the night he had the last Passover with his disciples and was betrayed, The Lord's Supper is to be observed annually at the beginning of the 14th day of Nisan (Hebrew month), since the Biblical day begins at sunset the lord’s supper is administered after sunset in accordance with its institution at the Passover which it replaces, with Jesus now been our Passover lamb the Lord’s Supper is observed in its season. The emblems used are unleavened bread and grape juice to represent the body and blood of our savior. The Lord’s Supper is not to be taken unworthily nor be administered to non baptized member of the church not fully discerning the lord’s body. Luke 22:7-20; I Cor. 11:23-26. 18. THE WASHING OF FEET The washing of the feet is done in conjunction with the Lord’s Supper as per the instructions of Jesus (YEHSHUA) it is a sign of oneness among brethren in Christ, It is also done as show of humility of all who partake of the Lord’s supper. John 13:4-17; 19. THE PAYING OF TITHES The paying of tithes on all increase is a continued obligation on all baptized and practicing child of God. Tithing is an ancient, divine law wherein the Lord has commanded us to give a tenth of our increase—which is understood to mean income—so we may build up His kingdom on the earth and be blessed. When you pay an honest tithe, the Lord promises that He will “open the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it” (Malachi 3:10). These blessings may be temporal or spiritual, and they will come to you as you obey this divine law. Paying tithing is an expression of your faith and an outward sign of your belief in God and His work. Those who do not pay tithing, those who keep for themselves something that rightfully belongs to Him, rob God ( Malachi 3:8). Tithing is the means by which the Lord's work is funded. Today, all faithful members of The Church of God contribute one tenth of their income as tithing to contribute to the growth of the kingdom of God, including:
Tithing does not pay local Church leaders. They serve without receiving payment of any salary other than a stipend to help their travel and other expenses and the spiritual blessings from providing service. Tithes and offerings are paid voluntarily and privately. Members may pay tithes and offerings at any time, but it is usually best to pay tithing on income as it is received Gen 14:18-20, Prov 3:9; Mal. 3:8-10; Matt. 23:23; I Cor 9:7-13; 20. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS The Law of God, the Ten Commandments, should be taught and observed. The Ten Commandments constitute the basic laws of God for His people. The concepts of the Decalogue were understood and obeyed by man from the sin of Eve and Adam in the Garden of Eden and by the godly up until it’s giving at Mt. Sinai, where God spoke them then wrote them on stone tablets. This law of God was perfectly fulfilled in the life and teachings of Jesus, was obeyed by the apostles of the Lord, and is written in the hearts of believers under the new covenant. No part of it has been revoked or changed; to transgress any of it is to commit sin.Observing the Ten Commandments expresses our love to God and mankind.Exodus 20:1-17; 31:18; Genesis 26:5; John 15:10; Matthew 19:16-19; Hebrews 8:10; 1 John 3:4; 5:2, 3; James 2:10-12. Romans 3:31; James 2:8-11; Rev. 22:14. 21.SIN Sin is the transgression of the law of God (the ten Commandments). When a person does that which is forbidden by the commandments he/she has committed a sin against God and in some case trespass against his brother/sister. Lev 4:2 Rom 7:7; Rom 7:13; I John 3:4, 22.JUSTIFICATION Justification from sin is through Christ Jesus alone. Forgiveness from one sinful deed was from Genesis to Malachi through the shed blood of animals, Since the death of our savior forgiveness can only be obtained by believing that his blood has atoned for all sins this is how you are justified I Cor. 6:11; Romans 3:20-28; 4:24-25, 5:16-18.Gal 2:16; 23.DRESS CODE A Christian should dress modest, No short, tight fitting, or skimpily clad dress should be worn sleeveless and all such design are not allowed either dress aught to be loose fitted and of such length to allow you to sit without exposing yourself, Brothers are to be properly attired with loose fitting pants and shirts with hair neatly groomed, dreadlock or sister lock hair style is not to be worn and sisters are not allowed to process their hair, Jewellery ornaments and trinkets are not allowed as dress or hair accessories neither is make-up allowed all should refrain from all worldliness in their mode of dress. I Tim. 2:9-10; I Thess 5:22, I Peter 3:3-4, I Cor. 11:7, 14, 15; I John 2:15, 16. 24.WARFARE All carnal warfare and the participation therein are condemned by the Lord. The wish of our Lord is that all man should live peaceably and in harmony, Wars are a result of a fight for power and lust of greed to control and manipulate other persons and resources, This type of behavior which cause widespread death and destruction of other people and their property is against the will of God and should be shunned by all children of God Matt. 5:38, 39; 2 Cor. 10:4; Ex. 20:13. 25.DIETING Mankind original diet was fruits and vegetables and nuts in GENESIS, But over time after sin’s introduction was modified to include meat (flesh). The Almighty God however has given man a guideline as to which animals are best for consumption by mankind as such the law of the clean and the unclean meats was given to mankind by God to be observed. When one goes against this command from God and consume flesh which he has forbidden us to consume you have defile your body which make it unfit for the holy Spirit to dwell in. In addition you have disobeyed the command of God which is a sin. Blood must be refuse as food , Gen 9:4; Acts 15:29; Lev. 11, Deut: 14, Isaiah 66:17; Ezekiel 44:23; Revelation 18:2; 26.SOCIAL HABITS The use of intoxicating liquors, alcoholic stimulants, tobacco, or any habit forming or mind-bending drug is forbidden. The use of these substances alters ones behavior and can make that person a danger to themselves and others, also that person will not be able to make a rational decision In addition most of these substances are addictive and as such are detrimental to the ones health and the cohesiveness of society in which we are expected to be good citizens and role models I Cor. 3:16, 17; Prov. 20:1, 23:29-35, Luke 21:34, I Cor 6:9-10; 27.DIVORCE and REMARRIAGE Jesus condemned divorce and re-marriage as being sin of adultery. A man is permitted to have only one living wife, and a woman only one living husband. Marriage was instituted by God and is intended to last as long as both partners live. A permanent union between one man and one woman offers potential for the best of human experience, and is a picture of the eternal bond between Christ and the church. Jesus taught that only fornication (sexual unfaithfulness before marriage) is sufficient cause for divorce (however this only apply where a husband was expecting a virgin and found out that he was deceived by his wife) Those who remarry after divorce, except the divorce was for fornication commits adultery. Similarly, those who marry persons who have been divorced commits adultery Genesis 2:18-25; Matthew 5:31, 32; 19:4-9; Mark 10:2-12; Luke 16:18; Romans 7:1-3; Ephesians 5:22-33; 1 Corinthians 7:10-16, 39, Luke 16:18; Romans 7:2, 3; I Tim. 3:2. 28.THE REGATHERING OF ISRAEL Prophesies of the Bible is one of the ways of proving that the Bible is the inspired word of God to man one of these prophesies concern the nation of Israel and there history in relation to the land of their heritage, It was prophesied that the children of Israel would not enjoy continuous possession of the land if they did not remain faithful to the commandments of God, This has happened exactly as prophesied they have been removed and returned to the land twice before There is presently a final regathering of the dispersed of Israelites to their own land. Jehovah made a promise to Abraham to give to his seed as a possession all the land his eyes behold and his feet trod, they got it when Moses brought them up from the land of Egypt and Joshua bring them in after forty years of wondering in the wilderness but because of disobedience to Jehovah’s commandments and especially the breaking of the Sabbath they have been driven from the land three times the last time was A.D. 70 The final regathering begins after world war 2 and continue until in 1948 the nation of Israel was rebirth this has been prophesied to be the last time that they will be returning because they shall not be removed again. Jer. 16:14, 15; Amos 9:14-15. Isaiah 11:11, 12; Jeremiah 31:7-12; 32:37-44; Ezekiel 37:21-28; 38:8-16; Luke 21:20-24, 31; Psalm 102:16.
29 THE THIRD ANGEL’S MESSAGE The third angel's message is a present day message, and will continue to the advent of Jesus. God Almighty (Jehovah) has always ask that him alone should be worshipped, until his only begotten son was given that authority, God was so particular about his worship that he warned Israel not to even go to see how the other nations around them worship their god’s to worshipped him in similar manner,Deut:12 so when the third angel’s message was given in Revelation ch 14 as warning to the entire world to be very careful about how and who they worship today’s children of God aught to take special heed to this message. The beast in Revelation represent a religious order so you are been warned to refrain from worship which is not of God but is of the (Devil) the beast. Rev.14:9-11. 30.THE SEVEN LAST PLAGUES The seven last plagues are future and literal. Many religious denomination teaches that the children of God will not be here to experience the seven last plagues but think again, why did the angel flying in the midst of heaven ask that the wrath of God be withheld until the saints of God be sealed (marked) Rev 7:3, why was the plagues ordered not to harm those who have the seal of God in their forehead, we will all be here to witness the wrath of God on disobedient mankind. Rev (9:4; Rev. 16. 31-33.THE RETURN OF JESUS, THE FIFTH KINGDOM, THE MELLINNUM The return of Jesus will be literal, visible, and Personal for all mankind to experience and is imminent. Jesus said to his disciples that as lightning shines from the east to the west so will the coming of the son of man be, We will all see, We will all know that the son of God has arrived there will be no secret rapture as some will have you to believe Christ will return and fight in the battle of Armageddon. His coming will bring peace to the earth, and He will rule the world from Jerusalem during the 1,000 years of restoration (the Millennium). Zachariah 14; Revelation 20:4-6; Micah 4:3-7.

The institution of the Kingdom of Heaven is at the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the throne of David will be established at Jerusalem in the person of Jesus Christ. The disciples ask Jesus on more than one occasion will thou at this time restore the kingdom to Israel because they are looking for a Kingdom to be ruled by the messiah established in Israel this will be the fifth kingdom, Jesus is coming to planet earth to rule until all disobedient mankind and principalities are put under his subjection and admit that he is Lord and king. The righteous will rule as priests of GOD and Christ with him Isa. 9:6, 7; Luke 1:32, 33; Rev 11:15; Rev 20:6. JUDGEMENTS AND REWARDS 34. The righteous dead will be resurrected and rewarded at the coming of Jesus with eternal life and will be made to rule planet earth as priest and judge with Christ during his reign as king of kings and lord of lords from Jerusalem. I ThesS. 4:16; Rev. 22:l2. 35. The meek shall inherit the earth and dwell therein forever. The earth was created to be inhabited by man and as such will be the eternal home of man, At no time will man live anywhere except on the earth the righteous will rule over the wicked during the reign of Christ on this earth. Matt. 5:5; Prov. 10:30. 36. After the 1,000-year restoration period, the wicked will be resurrected to final judgment and ultimately destroyed in the fire of hell with the Devil who deceived them, It is then that. Christ will deliver the kingdom to God, the Father I Cor. 15:22-24; Rev. chapters 20, 21 and 22; John 5:28.29. 37. The wicked will be eternally destroyed. Rev.20:11-15; Romans 6:16, 23. 38. This name is listed (12) times in the New Testament in reference to the body of saints I Cor. 1:2, 10:32, 11:16, 22, 15:9; 2 Cor. 1:1; Gal. 1:13; I Thes. 2:14; 2 Thes. 1:4; I Tim. 3:5, 15; Acts 20:28. 39. MINISTERS Ministers of the Church of God are called "Elders" and are those disciples accepted into the ministry upon recommendation by an ordained Elder, through investigation, both from inside and outside the church, as to character, his attributes as a Christian, his ability to teach, and his faithfulness in doctrine of the church. No one being entangled in adultery may hold any office in the church. Acts 14:23; Titus 1:5-9; I Tim. 3:1-5. 40. THE OVERSEER The Overseers (Bishop) shall have general care over the Churches to ensure that the word of GOD is teach without compromise and the doctrine be upheld in the life of all Ministers and the flock over which they have charge in States, territories or various countries, as need requires. Acts 20:28 |
PLEASE NOTE
Pagan Holidays
The celebrations of Sunday, Christmas, Lent, Easter, or Halloween as sacred times have no scriptural support.
Sunday became the common day of worship after the apostolic era. It was decreed the venerable day of the sun, and work was forbidden on it by the Roman emperor Constantine in A.D. 321. No command or example exists in Scripture for observance of the first day of the week as the Christian Sabbath.
Christmas is a carryover of the ancient festival of pagan Rome called Saturnalia, the rebirth of the sun. The day of Jesus' birth is unknown, and no biblical precedent exists for celebrating it after the fashion of Christmas.
Easter is a second-century substitute for a spring festival honoring the heathen goddess Astarte. The Bible does not endorse celebrating the Resurrection after the manner of Easter Sunday. The best evidence points to Christ's resurrection late on the Sabbath. His crucifixion and burial on Wednesday yields a literal fulfillment of the prophecy that He would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Halloween originates in unholy and superstitious practices relating to evil spirits and the realm of the dead. It should not be celebrated by Christians.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18; Jeremiah 10:2-10; Matthew 12:38-40; 28:1-6 (KJV); Mark 8:31; 9:31; 1 Corinthians 10:18-22.
FEAST DAYS
The feast days was given to the children of Israel as a reminder to them of the goodness of God to them and was used as a test of their devotion to God, However the feasts were place and time and reason specific, These we no longer need as their relevance have been made redundant by the death and resurrection and elevation of our Lord Jesus Christ (YESHUA)
The feasts was only to be celebrated at Jerusalem all males in Israel was to Journey to Jerusalem at the appointed time for the feasts, Although the instructions was given to Moses along with all the other laws they were not celebrated in the wilderness because the Lord has not yet chosen a place to put his name
Jesus kept all the feasts but note that he journeyed to Jerusalem for all of them, The apostle Paul also kept the feasts but note also that he too journeyed to Jerusalem whenever he could for them, At no time in scriptures do we see where these feast was celebrated outside of Jerusalem
